The "rough-in" phase of any project can be pretty intimidating for some homeowners. This is especially true when the project is as big as this one. This job calls for 32 zones of Crestron audio, 350 circuits of Crestron controlled lighting, 60 Sivoia shade motors, and an extensive security system.
This pictures shows all the cabling needed for this system dropping down in the "head-end" room where the equipment racks will eventually reside. Due to the size of this home it took 9 months from the time the rough-in phase was complete till the time that the equipment racks could be installed and this room could begin to look "finished".
This picture shows the transformation from rough-in to finish. The pictures make it look SO simple. For the professional integrator using Middle Atlantic equipment racks, this is pretty standard stuff. Unfortunately on this project it was more painful for everyone than it should have been. But that's another story...we'll save that for another post.
